Lucía Hierro is a conceptual artist born and raised in Washington Heights and currently based in the South Bronx. Her practice includes sculpture, digital media and installation, confronting twenty-first-century capitalism through an intersectional lens. Her work has been exhibited at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, the Museum of the African Diaspora in San Francisco and Casa Quién in the Dominican Republic. Her work has been selected for the permanent collection of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, appeared in El Museo del Barrio’s first national large-scale survey of Latinx contemporary art and was the subject of a solo exhibition at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum.
